In my current position as a writer/editor with a federal government contractor, I have edited and proofread more than 50 proposals and other responses to federal government solicitations. I have also drafted proposal sections, including past performance write-ups and professional biographies of key personnel. I have developed and maintained proposal style guides and lists of acronyms and other abbreviations and regularly reviewed boilerplate content. I also worked for another government contractor as a proposal and technical writer. In that position, I learned the basics of federal government contracting and drafted and edited multiple proposals. I have not worked with grant proposals, but I am very interested in getting experience in that area.
