Competition at Guru is fierce. There is so much talent available to prospective clients that the decision process must be daunting! Standing out can be a challenge but having worked in the industry for 12 years now I have found that this process works well to create the best fit of projects to artists. Take it one step at a time to build trust and a good work rhythm and you'll do well. My resume is lengthy. Clients and studios include, Comedy Central, Columbia Tri-Star, Dic, Artopia (Adam Sandler project) and Film Roman to name a few. My strengths lie mostly in character development however I am often involved in animation, storyboarding, background/prop/color designing, sound editing and then finally some simple scripting. My goal is not just to provide an aesthetically pleasant product but to make the process as streamlined and pleasant as possible, all while meeting the desired deadlines.
