Huge hole discovered in Sun

$50/hr Starting at $50

A giant 'hole' has appeared on the Sun's surface and could quickly send solar winds to Earth by Friday.

Solar flares are called violent eruptions that take place on the Sun. These explosions are billions of megatons in power and generally move at a speed of 1 million km/h.

Due to the solar flares, which release huge energy as a result, small-wavelength radiation particles enter the Earth's atmosphere.

As a result of these jets, communication and power networks such as GPS on earth are adversely affected.A second giant hole has been discovered in the SunA giant 'hole' has appeared on the Sun's surface and could quickly send solar winds to Earth by Friday. The hole in question is about 18 to 20 times the size of Earth.Coronal vents release solar winds into space that can damage satellites and reveal stunning northern lights if they reach Earth.

Coronal holes are quite common, but they usually appear towards the Sun's poles, where their winds are blown out into space.

But because the Sun is accelerating toward a peak of activity that happens about every 11 years, these holes are more likely to appear near the Sun's equator, said Mathew Owens, professor of space physics at the University of Reading.

The periods when the explosions and spots on the Sun decrease to a minimum level are called the "solar minimum", and the periods when the spots increase and the explosions become more frequent are called the "solar maximum". The Sun switches between these phases every 11 years.

In 2025, however, the solar maximum phase will reach its zenith. For this reason, scientists expect severe explosions to affect the Earth, especially around 2025.
