Denzel Avila, a multi-disciplinary artist from Toronto, Canada strives to create artwork representing his community. With many hardships, Denzel uses his ability to create artwork that inspires and speaks to those who had similar upbringings. Not opposed to any mediums, Denzel primarily likes to work with graphite, oil, acrylic paint, aerosol, and digital. His hope as an artist is to connect with others using his surreal style and symbolism. Denzel studied Illustration at Sheridan College and received the Jon Klassen Narrative Award and was shortlisted in the American Illustrator Awards 2022.
