My body of work includes illustrations and animations that explore social and emotional themes. I would describe my illustrations as colorful and full of character. Animation is also a very important part of my practice. I use it as a tool to give my illustrations a different layer of complexity and impact on the topic. Through the process of making my pieces, I try to create a balance between shapes and colors, so that they can flow through the piece. My practice is predominantly digital, but I try to break the extremely clean look with some interesting textures. A lot of my artwork is also informed by my visual journalism practice. I enjoy observing my surroundings and wondering how to translate what I am seeing into a page in an interesting way. I like my work to touch audiences in different ways. Whether it is funny, relatable or they just become aware of something new.
