At present, work is continuing on Lenin Square to ensure public law and order - a stationary security post is operating, employees of a private security company are on duty around the clock, who on an ongoing basis bypass and inspect the territory, the press service of the Voronezh City Hall reported.

In addition, there are 23 stationary video surveillance cameras (some of them panoramic) integrated into the Safe City system, as well as 16 additionally installed for the period of placement of festive decorations.

Like previous years, the inspection regime, in accordance with the contract concluded following the results of the competitive procedures, was carried out by employees of a private security organization until January 8 - during the organization of mass festivities on Lenin Square during the New Year holidays.

Until January 19, 2023, inclusive, during the opening hours of the square from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., those who wish can get to Lenin Square without a permit regime and inspection activities. The territory along the perimeter is fenced with 370 turnstiles, which are moved apart in one place for the passage of visitors. At the end of the square, its perimeter closes until the morning.It should be noted that if events are organized on Lenin Square during this period with the involvement of a wider range of citizens, the organizer will set up metal detector frames and screen visitors. This will be announced in advance.
