Training has changed. Learners no longer learn the same way they used to. The change from print to digital is important but it is not enough. We no longer tell learners what they should learn. They tell us what they want to learn. The jargon for this is "pull" rather than "push". They may not fully realise the implications of what they want to learn, but once they have asked for our help, we can guide them through the invisible depths of what they really need to know. Our skill is to solicit and respond to that first question, and then to keep them engaged through the layers of answers.
