I'm an Java developer with five years of experience in software development. I started with PHP and business based web applications that grew into multi-platform mobile applications. Since building applications for each platform–iPhone, Android, Windows and more–requires different frameworks and languages we used PhoneGap to solve this by using standards-based web technologies to bridge web applications and mobile devices. After two years I continued my journey by switching to Fintech as a Java developer. I had the opportunity to use different technologies as well as platforms. It started with native Android applications and legacy GWT web applications where I got to experience multi-platform and cross-database synchronization. Later on my team was given several greenfield projects to replace legacy applications. That is where I learned a lot about setting up a project from scratch and the many challenges that lie there. We chose to use Spring boot and Kotlin for backend and at the time the latest version of Angular for frontend. Two years later I started to work as an independent contractor or more popularly a freelancer. Since then I worked on various projects, fields and with different clients, both foreign and domestic. I also had the chance to work in IoT. Some of the companies I had worked with are A1 Croatia, Wirecard Bank AG, O2 Czech Republic, O2 Slovakia, Infobip and more.
