In the previous table covering 18-24 July; The test of 365 thousand 424 people was positive, 157 people died.

5 SYMPTOMS ATTENTION

Ear Nose and Throat Diseases Specialist Dr. Buket Özel Bingöl stated that the cases of BA.5, the fastest spreading variant of the corona virus, are increasing gradually and said that mask, hygiene and vaccination measures should be taken.

Noting that the symptoms that occur as the virus mutates, Dr. Buket Özel Bingöl “The rapid transmission feature and different symptoms of the BA.5 variant, which is the sub-variant of the Omicron mutation, emerged. BA.5 is known as the fastest-spreading variant of the coronavirus. The 5 main symptoms of this variant are; cough, runny nose, sore throat, fatigue, headache and muscle pain," he said. Dr. Bingöl stated that the most common one among the new symptoms is “sore throat” and that the incidence of symptoms such as high fever, loss of smell and taste has decreased with this variant.
