there are lots of ways to do this but most of them tend to involve a level of advocacy for your company’s practices. However, in some cases it can involve working with other companies to solve a common issue such as a bug in some open source code. Where our work is particularly impactful I think it is important to share it with the wider community via speaking at conferences.
