I began doing legal research and writing by necessity. As a professional photographer 2000-2010, I needed to pursue substantial commercial copyright infringement. I hired an attorney to advise me for two years but became self-taught in legal research and writing, as well as handling litigation directly myself in 8-10 separate cases (copyright, contract, family court, free speech/defamation, FOIA).

My strengths are: researching and drafting Complaints, Answers, discovery requests/responses, memorandums of law in support/opposition to motions, appellate briefs, and legal correspondence. I have written 50-100 pleadings and briefs that were filed in federal and state court (Minnesota and Wisconsin) including two appellate briefs that resulted in reversal and remand (in Wisconsin). The issues were copyright infringement, contract, free speech/defamation, malicious prosecution, fraud, discovery disputes, FOIA, and family court (placement/child support).

I am experienced in electronic filing in PACER and Wisconsin courts, federal and state rules of civil procedure, and appellate procedure.
