Rem has obtained his Master’s degree in European and International Law from a top 50 ranked business school worldwide. He has performed management tasks on projects deriving from the highest National and EU Programs. As a politician Rem carried the responsibility of rebudgeting millions of dollars expanding the reach of several big local public organizations, significantly reducing crime, strengthening education and empowering the youth. Rem continues to develop his experience in the fields of Compliance, CSR & Regulation. Already Rem has built up a lot of experience with regulation, specifying his interest in financial regulation, social policies and the review of budgets. He is also very capable in performing management tasks. He has the capability to properly and accurately apply regulation on products in order to have them complied with government demands, for example with environmental regulation for innovational products. For the State government of Economic affairs he initiated the adjustment of the ICT-systems on the continuously developing meaning of the notion of ‘unlawful’ within financial regulation and controlling of budgets during his work controlling projects. One of Rem’s great successes was managing contracts for the sector organization, by negotiating the cutting down of 30% of fixed energy costs for all members in the sector, within one year. Also the many norms coming from Corporate Social Responsibility are a part of his expertise like the Global Compact Program, having the sector organization for industrial cleaning services signing the United Nations Global Compact Program. Rem is not the person to sit down under difficult circumstances. He will always keep on moving based on meaningful and logic actions according to set goals and agreed processes, sometimes even making it look easy to achieve success.
