Working In Public Relations at Yelland Engineering taught me to use the Media with effective press releases and strong teamwork as the ideas flowed between my colleague and myself culminating in quick results with complimentary input at Business Exhibitions, cocktail parties for clients and promotional events. In Marketing, being results driven I enjoyed meeting the needs of the client. As a Personal Assistant one is at the heart of the business supporting the CEO and Directors who aim high for results, taking their people with them. To me the business world is like a puzzle, each piece fitting into the other. Marketing, finance and administration all play an important role in sustainability of the company or organisation. When people understand they have the right fit in behavior and skills for their position, when they understand why their unique strengths are key when linking their complimentary talents to form a formidable team, it is exciting to see their transformation and that of the company or organisation as it evolves. I enjoy a good team spirit and a positive, constructive company culture. My best experience as an employee was in an organisation with a strong leader who had real vision and a high emotional IQ. I was trained in direct mail marketing by Effective Letters in Johannesburg. Working at Thomas International I learned that if we know the natural behavior of a person how it assists in team work. Now I am learning about Leadership with in-depth and various facets of business.
