Infantry Specialist Sergeant Selahattin Taşkın (38) was buried in the Oltu district of Erzurum, who was seriously injured in the clash that broke out with the terrorists who tried to infiltrate the Operation Claw-Lock Operation area and was martyred in the hospital where he was taken. Saniye Taşkın carried the coffin of his martyr's wife, wrapped in the Turkish flag, with the soldiers.

Infantry Specialist Sergeant Selahattin Taşkın, who was in charge of the Special Forces Command, was seriously injured during the PKK terrorists' attempt to infiltrate the Operation Claw-Lock Operation region in northern Iraq. Taşkın, who was taken to the hospital, could not be saved despite all the intervention of the doctors and became a martyr. The funeral of the martyr was brought to Erzurum yesterday by military plane from Hakkari. After the ceremony at the military airport, the funeral of the martyr Taşkın was placed in the morgue of the state hospital in Oltu district, where he was taken by land.The body of Martyr Specialist Sergeant Selahattin Taşkın, who is married and father of 3, and is one of 6 children of Erzurumlu Şahine-Necati Taşkın couple, was taken from the hospital morgue and brought to Tuzla District. 

Saniye Taşkın walked for a long time in the neighborhood mosque, shouldering her husband's coffin with the soldiers, saying "I will carry it". The relatives of the martyr, who surrounded the coffin, shed tears.
