I am primarily a stress analyst but I combine this expertise with skills and services in mechanical testing and design.Much of my 15 years experience is in the application of finite element and experimental models for predicting the performance of orthopaedic implants in the human body, but I have also designed and tested surgical instruments and products for patient-handling in domestic and institutional environments.In general consultancy, I have worked on a diverse range of projects, from vibration analysis of ships and office buildings to evaluation of the mechanics of skin contact components for blood sampling machines, performance of contact lens moulds and design of clamps for window cleaning poles.I also have mechanical testing experience using screw-driven, servo-hydraulic and servo-electric materials testing machines, including materials and component level performance testing.I offer bespoke testing services and can design and manufacture special purpose test fixtures, recom
