I am a medical coder. I am a hospice expert, and I am pending my Ahima CCS certification. I currently hold the NCCT certification. I am well-versed in reading MD PN's and pick out the primary, secondary, tertiary, etc... Dx codes. I can read labs, meds, and op notes, etc... to see why the pt has to see the MD. I can extract all Dx's from the progress notes and append all codes. I work from a blank slate because not all cases are similar. I guarantee my work. I have started a coding department all by myself for a hospice. I am very familiar with anatomy and physiology as well as the disease process.
