I am a Filipino transcriptionist who is very well acquainted with the English language having worked with Americans (taught scuba diving in California; studied under American professors; and worked with different nationalities in the dive tourism and geothermal energy industries) and written publications in the English language in the course of previous experiences both as a marine biologist and scuba diving instructor. My ears are also used to different English accents. I can handle legal and business/corporate transcriptions and I am also willing to undergo any competency test or trial transcription necessary for the job. As with my computer skills, I am very much literate with computers and have broadband internet connection, Express Scribe software, MS Office, FTP software and a transcription pedal here at home. I prefer to work at home so as to keep close with my family and provide adequate guidance for my growing kids.
