Hello! With a wealth of life/work experience behind me, I am now entering into what was always my dream job — to be a writer, editor, proofreader! Although I hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing rather than an English degree, I have very strong skills in the latter, including writing, editing, proofreading, grammar, vocabulary, spelling, diction, syntax, medical terminology, and a love for it all! I am currently pursuing a Poynter/American Copy Editors Society Certificate in Editing, after which I will work toward an accredited university post-Graduate Certificate in Editing. I am a current member of the American Copy Editors Society (ACES). My prior positions in nursing have given me a great deal of transferable experience in Research, Writing, Electronic Medical Records Review, Medical Terminology, Root Cause Analysis, Data Abstraction and Data Entry. My education and career have demanded that I excel in attention to detail, writing, and editing of reports and papers on a variety of topics, including medical and nursing documentation. And, my lifelong love of reading (about pretty much anything and everything) has given me a broad array of interests and knowledge. So, please don’t think of me as a nurse only! (On the other hand, my nursing knowledge and expertise may be just what you need!) Whatever the topic, I will give your project my immediate and utmost attention, and I will make sure the work is always done on schedule and to your satisfaction!
