• Installation & Configuration of various versions of Microsoft SQL Software • Applying patches and service pack on the SQL server instance(s). • Database migration on different server. • Managing User Access and Privileges. • Managing Database and database related file system space and auto growth. • Scheduling backups and jobs using maintenance window and troubleshoot backup and other jobs failures • Database maintenance activities like Database Reorganization and Index Rebuilding, Database integrity checks. • AnalyzingSQL server performance using DMVs, Wait-States & Performance Monitor Counters, SQL Profiler, and Reviewing SQL server error logs, SQL Performance Standard Reports, Dynamic Management Views, Windows Events log and System Stored Procedures to quickly find the Root Cause of performance slow-downs. • Monitoring and troubleshooting physical memory usage,Buffer cache usages, Lock events, Index fragmentation block and deadlocks. • Troubleshooting Infrastructure issues related to SQLdatabase server such as memory, CPU, I/O, Disk, etc. • Creating & managing database documentation to support compliance / IT Security and audit requirements.
