I am currently looking for part-time work, and I am hoping to find something that can be long-term. I have a full-time job working as an Internet Architect for HBO in New York. I started with HBO as a consultant to assist with CDN integration, and after experiencing the culture I decided to accept a position as a member of the web architecture team. My team is responsible for the design of HBO's online initiatives, and I am proud to be working along side some truly brilliant people. We handle everything related to our online infrastructure. This includes everything from determining if we should be using blade servers or the cloud, to how we handle traffic at our load balancers, to picking a traditional RDBMS or NoSQL, and everything in between. Prior to HBO I spent several years working as a federal contractor for the US government. As a Sr. Unix Sysadmin, I worked on several high-profile projects, including the setup of two new data centers for the U.S. Department of Homeland Securi
