Manufacturer trained Networking Engineer with extensive knowledge of L2 switching, L3 routing, L4 QoS, TCP/IP and other protocols and even ATM switches. Have successfully completed complex single and multi vendor projects in a variety of industry verticals including Armed Forces, Banking, Commercial Aviation, Contact Centre, Government and the Maritime Safety sector. Most recent project was a 100 seat call centre installed at an office in the city, including CAT6A Cabling, UPS Support, dedicated Internet connections, MikroTik routers, D-Link switches and Wi-Fi access points, Firewalls from Barracuda and pfSense and Open Source monitoring and access control tools. Skills also include end-user support for Windows, MAC/OSX and Linux clients, plus servers based on Windows, Linux and FreeBSD platforms. Most recently, I've become interested in Open Networking and centralised control planes on the hardware side; and XaaS, Kubernetes / Containers on the software side.
