Office Interior Project Manager

$50/hr Starting at $25

Looking to provide consulting on an existing project big or small, not to lead the project. Worked for over 20 years consulting for various Canadian banks and Insurance companies. My background education is in a degree Interior Design. A typical project path would be to interview the department to assess needs, sketch the design for drafting person to draw up, prepare budget for furniture and construction, obtain approvals on new floor plan (revisions as required), obtain approval on budget. This process would include technology consultants to communicate client needs and ensure technology consultants construction needs were met. Upon approvals - Hire external design firm and/or engineers (and other consultants as required), order the furniture, carpet, appliance and artwork. Work with designers / engineers to complete the construction drawings to go to competitive construction bid. Once awarded, participate in all construction meetings and see project construction through to completion. During this process, arrange to hire a moving company, provide staff/department with moving information, moving bins, oversee move. Follow-up with post-move services ensuring that department is back to business as usual in relationship to any construction, furniture and move related deficiencies. Happy to advise on any piece of this process - rather than me handle an entire project for you, I would simply provide council to assist you through the process. Whether you are trying to determine a new office furniture manufacturer to go with, or if you have hired a design company and you're looking for advice as you move through the process. Small is good too, maybe you have been asked to simply arrange to move a handful of staff from one floor to another. I'm here to assist.
