I have worked professionally as a commercial sculptor since 1988, mostly in the area of toys and action figures. I have also created animal sculptures for display at historical museums such as the Burpee natural History Museum in Rockford, Illinois. I also have experience working sculpting indoor and outdoor originals (in miniature to life-size) for private collectors of their design.
I have worked for the last eighteen years as a professional sculptor and designer with experience in clay, epoxy clays, wax, polyester, urethane, fiberglass, hard foam sculpture, tool patterns for mass production, mold making, pressure casting, painting and deco. Often I am required to capture likenesses of licensed characters. I have received my Commercial Graphics Degree in Design from Southern Illinois University with majors in Art an 3-D Design. Four years of this intense design program as well as a natural love of sculpture and drawing helped develop excellent work habits.
