My name is Carla and I am a native Italian freelance translator. I work mainly in the EN-IT combination. My passion for the English language dates back to my teen years, but my first "official" translation from English to Italian was my university thesis: as final work for my Modern Languages degree I translated and commented seven Australian short stories (authors ranging from the late 1800's to the 1970's). I have spent eight years of my adult life in two English-speaking Canadian provinces. I think this allows me to grasp many nuances of the English language, and recognize cultural references.
