Having access to a visually appealing presentation/document is something that can literally change one's life. I've seen first hand how powerful visual data are at making it easier (and funnier!) to remember lectures, classes, financial data, products...My Psychology background and my recent Marketing studies provide me with the knowledge regarding the use of using colours and several other elements that attract our novelty-seeking brain.
