The PLO is not a political party, nor is the current leadership and its policies, but rather an expression of identity and national culture and a title for the Palestinian people and their national liberation project, which represents the opposite of the Zionist project and distinguishes the Palestinian people from other peoples and prevents its assimilation in other societies. And rejecting the leadership of the organization and its policies on the PLO in general, the leadership is just an executive tool that can be changed and replaced, and the authority is a tool for the organization and the national project and is not a substitute for them. .

Remembering that the reason for Israel and America’s hostility to the Palestine Liberation Organization and accusing it of terrorism and drying up its sources of funding is not because the PLO practices terrorism or is corrupt as Israel and America promote. The national identity and culture of the Palestinian people aroused after it was just a mass of refugees, and because it is the founder of the national liberation project, and since its establishment, it has been fighting the occupation by all military, political and diplomatic means.

If the existence of the organization and its representation of all the people had not been a national achievement, Israel would not have fought against it throughout these decades, and if the PLO coordinated with the American and Israeli policies and plans and accepted the settlements that were proposed to it, the organization and its head Abu Ammar would have been besieged in the boycott 2002 and then he was assassinated by poison, and if the organization coordinated With the deal of the century and the annexation plan, the Palestinian cause would have been in a worse situation than it is now.

And let us wonder and ask those who doubt the legitimacy and justifications for establishing the organization and considering it as a representative of the Palestinian people, those who are based on a nationalist or Islamist standpoint, what was the official Arab position towards Palestine before 48 and what was its position on the Palestinian revolution in 1936-1939 and how did it fail the Palestinian people? What happened in the 1948 war? And what did the Arab regimes do to Palestine after the Palestinians defeated the Arab armies? Did the Arabs have a national strategy to liberate Palestine? Didn't President Gamal Abdel Nasser say to a Palestinian delegation that was on a visit in 1962 (whoever tells you that he has a strategy for the liberation of Palestine will laugh at you), and this is what the late Haider Abdel Shafi wrote and documented.

And if the PLO did not exist and the issue continued to be in the hands of the Arab regimes that were defeated in the setback of 67 and the result of their defeat was the loss of the rest of Palestine in addition to other Arab lands that are still occupied, will the situation of the Palestinians be better?
