As a PCB designer I have worked since 1995. My experience started with Cadstar, Tango and Eagle (DOS versions of course).Later I does prefered Cadsoft's Eagle. Since 2010 I have worked primarily with Altium Designer (you have to share a licence to me for this job). I prefer digital designs with analog front ends (sensors etc.). I don't design RF parts. Result will be a data package for the manufacturer (Gerber, ODB) and a data package for the assembly house (BOM, Pick&Place).
