I have over two decades of experience as a PCB layout engineer, and the past nearly five years alone, working specifically with Altium. My current role includes drawing 2D and 3D designs using AutoCAD and Solidworks, following the specification defined by the design rules and compliancy to the industry standards(CE, EMC, UL), with greater attention to designs of hi-speed PCBs . As part of my duties, I am responsible to research and define the best footprint to be used on the BGA and CSP packages before the substrate is defined for the new chips. I design the firmware development boards and evaluation kit boards for all new the products. I review and release customer designs before mass production is started for customers such as tier one mobile phone manufacturers, as well as automotive ones. As a PCB layout engineer I follow the project through all its entire design lifecycle, from the product specification to the schematic, moving to then onto the layout, the review stages and approval, and finally to the preparation of the documentation (Gerber, DXF/DWG, BOM).
