Having 7+ years of web development experience using Perl, Perl frameworks (Mason, Mojolicious), various databases (MySQL, Oracle, Mongo, Solr) and developing data loading and processing systems (ETL), in Perl and Python. My experience includes work with full-text search engines (Solr and Mongo's functionalities) and geospatial searches (in Oracle, Mongo and SQL Server). Worked on relatively complex web scraping projects as well. At the latest project I was leading the development of a large-scale, API based Web application, working with hundreds of millions of records, supporting geospatial searches, taking care of all the components (Oracle database design, developing full-text search using Solr, API design and implementation, data loading and processing and front-end application dev). Worked with Python when developing various data-loading scripts and a small project to control a quadcopter using a webcam.
