My particular specialty is piping design. I have more than 3 years of professional experience as a piping engineer in the oil and gas industry. I have a good design sense of getting a pipe from point A to point B, while minimizing construction cost for clients. My experience in oil and gas is pretty much transferable to most industries. I have experience on many engineering software specifically for piping design, but for small projects, AutoCAD will do the job.
