Piping Stress Engineer

Piping Stress Analysis: -

  • Perform flexibility analysis of system in CAESAR II and Rohr2 software of lines of Compressors, Fired Heaters, Heat Exchangers, Pressure Vessels, Columns, Pumps, storage tanks and Rack Piping etc.
  • Prepared flexibility analysis of offshore projects to SPS (subsea production system, Manifolds and X-mas tree), piping connected to FPSO and terminal port. 
  • Familiar with International Piping codes and standards ASME B31.3, ASME B31.1, ASME B31.8, API, EN 13480
  • Responsible for performing PSV analysis, Seismic Analysis, Wind Analysis and their load case philosophies.
  • Perform Nozzle flexibilities (Over loaded nozzles qualification) like WRC 107/297.
  • Performed variety of Analyses like Dynamic Analysis (Knowledge), Flange leakage check, WRC 107/297 check.
  • API 610 Pump Nozzle load check, API 617, API 560, API 661 and NEMA SM23 in CAESAR II software.
  • Preparation of technical data, knowledge and selection of spring hangers (variable & constant) and Bellow.
  • Experience in underground line analysis.
  • Experience in LNG line analysis.
  • Preparation of Stress critical line List.
  • Formation of stress systems for calculations.
  • Slug and Surge force calculations.
  • Calculation of Seismic coefficient and Wind profiles and perform Seismic coefficient analysis.
  • Experience in visual clearances of Non-critical Piping systems, Span calculations, Expansion loop calculations, Trunnion qualification calculations.
  • Familiar with Calculations of piping special components.
  • Handling project related IFC stress report documentation.
  • Experience in preparing loading data for other engineering information such as civil and mechanical.
  • Support Numbering as per Primary & Secondary Support Design Basis.
  • Software validations.


Piping / Project Engineering: -

 Co-ordination with Client & vendor as well as customer.

  • Co-ordination with all departments such as Process, Mechanical, Civil, Instrument & Electrical.
  • Technical analysis of vendor’s Bids & Making Technical Comparison (TBA) for ordering of capital items.
  • P&ID (Piping & Instrumentation Diagram) review.
  • Review of vendor drawings and comments.
  • Preparation of technical job note and TQ records.
  • Checking of Piping MTO and valve MTO.
  • 3D Model Review with client.
  • Assigning work to designers and engineers and get it done from them in time.
  • Checking of piping support drawings and special supporting requirements.
  • Maintaining the documents as per quality norms.
  • Review technical documents for delivery discrepancy.
  • Preparing WOW for the project.
  • Bid support for various bids for Oil & Gas projects.
