I have over 30 years of hands on experience in plastic mold design and building, evaluation, troubleshooting, project management, design review, purchasing and sales related activities, starting my career as a toolmaker, building plastic injection molds, primarily for the automotive, consumer products and medical industries. I am a Tooling Engineering Manager with deep technical knowledge of plastic mold design, with part design for manufacturability experience that can identify areas of concern in part designs and advise modifications to eliminate problems before parts are tooled. The ability to "design out" manufacturing problems at the part design stage is a key strength along with visualization of plastic mold tooling and its relationship to manufacturing. I have experience with a variety of companies providing molded parts to several markets, including computers and peripherals, telecommunications, consumer products, medical, automotive and solar.
