Artist Elise, studied with Simon Michael of Rockport, Texas from the age of six in charcoal, pastel and oil. Since then, she has mastered watercolors and acrylics. Elise has painted from her studio in an abstract expressionistic style on canvas primarily seascapes and skyscapes in acrylic media frequently using gradient washes. Her new series of works are evolving to a more textured and blended color field with geometric foregrounds to evoke serene simplicity and embracing the realm of spirituality in the midst of the chaotic landscape of our current global culture.“I had the benevolent good fortune to have had a revered teacher early in my life – Simon Michael.
