I am a Agricultural Economist holding a BSc. in Agricultural Economics of Egerton University and a M.Sc. in Agricultural and Applied Economics of Egerton University and University of Pretoria, South Africa (CMAAE-AERC programme). I am also a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya. I am currentlty a PhD candidate in Food Security. My research interests are mainly on agricultural value chain issues – ranging from production, marketing, consumption (consumer economics) and climate change issues to globalization, food safety, agricultural trade and finance, agricultural policy, food security and institutional issues affecting agricultural production, marketing, trade and consumption. In particular, he is highly focused on socio-economic research design and field implementation, and data management and analysis using such techniques as descriptive statistics, econometrics (including time series data analysis), value/supply chain analysis (V/SCA), cost-benefit analysis (CBA), stochastic frontier analysis (SFA), Policy Analysis Matrix (PAM), Social Accounting Matrix (SAM), Computable General Equilibrium (CGE), principal component analysis (PCA) and data envelopment analysis (DEA), among others.
