I hold a bachelor of English and an MFA in English & Creative writing. I have twenty years’ experience in both writing and editing fiction. I am a member of the Science Fiction & Fantasy Writers of America and have had my short fiction appear in Analog Science Fiction & Fact and Ares Magazine. I have been editing professionally since 2000. My editing services include: • Developmental Editing, which is an examination of all the elements of your writing, from single words and the phrasing of individual sentences to overall structure and style. I'll address major and minor problems with the plot, characterization, worldbuilding, pacing, and so on. This includes an editorial report and an annotated manuscript. • Line/Copy Editing, where I'll work on improving accuracy, grammar, punctuation, spelling, phrasing, readability, clunky dialogue, tonal inconsistencies, and other issues with the prose that might affect the reader’s experience. While copy editing and line editing are generally considered to be two separate services, there is a lot of overlap between them, and this service covers that whole area.
