I am an adjunct professor at top-40 ranked American university and have my own company to work with individual customers. Some freelancers accept anything and everything that hits their inbox, but I do not. I consider each project carefully and am prompt on replies and projects. I had a few larger projects that are now complete, so it may appear on the new dashboard that it takes longer for me to reply to an initial invitation for a proposal - but the Upwork panel includes shotgun requests for any work, even what's not in a freelancer's wheelhouse (like software coding, crowdfunding, graphic design or some other things that have appeared lately and the stats now reflect a delayed reply to those spammers). Unlike some lower-cost proposals that are frequently given on job sites, I do all project work with my own knowledge instead of just using a cheap software program and quote a high mark-up while just passing through someone else's/something else's results! I also do not accept every invitation to apply (as there are increasing numbers of shotgun spam invitations that do not fit my skills) -- so if you are inviting me, know that if it's the right project that I do get back to you timely with great information to help you as all of my reviews indicate! I have over twenty years experience in public relations experience, crisis management and executive leadership. If you need assistance in project management or improving office processes, I can help you. Interactions with customers and media are too important to just hope you do the right thing. I can help when time is critical - from reports to grant writing, or particular process management. Price is negotiable based on requested project.
