Implemented web service and single signon with a 401k vendor for my current employer. To ensure security, the web service is locked by username/password authentication and role authorization and transmitted over ssl. There is an encrypted token and signature passed into all the webservices which is decrypted and verified on the webservice. The webservice then parses the clear text token into parameters and calls the desired procedure. This is an example of a good way to ensure security with a web service. Implemented JAAS access for web applications. Created automated File upload for web sites that are reporting agencies for my current employer. Utilized HTTPUnit, java 1.4, JMX, and Quartz Scheduler to create an automated process for many of our file uploads and downloads. Built Issue Tracker with Macromedia Flex 1.0 and Hibernate.
