My career as a geologist has focused on managing operational aspects of exploration for gold and uranium. In particular, the emphasis has been on efficient execution of multi-million dollar core and reverse circulation (RC) drilling programs, and data management and compilation. Throughout, my responsibility has been to organize, execute and supervise complex logistical operations involving interfacing with stakeholders (managers, contractors & landowners); to attend to the successful completion of the projects; and to prepare comprehensive summaries of the outcomes. The Portfolio item (Exploration) is an example of strategic planning, as explained to a gathering of Russian exploration managers in Siberia in 1999.
