Hi! I am a certified paralegal through the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA). While I have and currently work for a law office, I want to put my recently acquired English degree to further use. I love proofreading! I have proofread and edited for a planner company with positive feedback during this past year as well as proofreading other students' papers and legal documents for the past several years. Now that have graduated with my second degree college degree, I am ready to work on proofreading and editing projects more frequently. I am able to work in any genre. As my English degree emphasis is Professional Writing and Rhetoric, I am able to look at texts through many lenses allowing a focus of purpose and audience to show through the text. Additionally, I can easily pivot to the type of writing you require, whether it be formal prescriptivist approach through Standard English (e.g. making sure the text follows all the rules), or a descriptive approach, how the language is actually used.
