My first career was as a teacher. Now, I'm a professional editor/proofreader and fulfilling my dream! I have a master's degree in language arts and have been contracting for a publishing company (part-time) for the last year. Before securing this position, I gained valuable experience doing various freelance jobs. I'm now looking for more work because I'm ready for a challenge and like to stay busy! 

I automatically scrutinize any form of text I read, most likely due to all my years of teaching language skills, grammar, and punctuation. My experience in education, along with a positive, outgoing personality, has helped me develop into an excellent communicator. I’m efficient, but detailed and meticulous, and guarantee quality work with a quick turnaround time.  My current position is part-time and has flexible hours, allowing me to be available during the day and evenings, and I tend to work most weekends as well. Through my teaching, graduate coursework, freelancing, and current editing/proofreading job, I’ve accumulated vast experience using multiple online writing/editing platforms. I’m confident my skills, dedication, and love for learning would be an asset to any employer, and I hope you will consider me for an editor or proofreader position.
