This project was developed as part of my learning journey in Python and computer vision. The goal was to create an eye-controlled mouse with head-tilt support, enabling hands-free computer interaction. This makes it especially useful for accessibility and as an experimental HCI (Human-Computer Interaction) solution.
Key Expertise:
Computer Vision – Used OpenCV to capture and process real-time webcam input.
Face & Eye Tracking – Implemented Mediapipe to detect facial landmarks, eye positions, and head tilt angles.
Head-Tilt Navigation – Added functionality to control cursor movement or trigger actions by tilting the head.
Automation & Control – Utilized PyAutoGUI to translate eye movements and head gestures into mouse actions (move, click, scroll).
Algorithm Design – Developed logic for smooth cursor movement, blink-based clicking, and head-tilt detection with minimal delay.
User Accessibility Focus – Built with ease-of-use in mind for users who need hands-free computer control.
