Personally I am amazed at the power of Python to solve most programmatic challenges. This has turned into a continuing passion for me to uncover the vast possibilities of the language. So far I have implemented projects which call for fundamental understanding of python and its libraries, integrating programmatic structures , data handling, data analysis , scripting and debugging.
Some of these projects include web scraping of flight tickets to find the best dates for departure and arrival ; analysis of housing markets to identify potential investment opportunities ; daily automated tracking of stock markets and calculating various investment parameters such as XIRR, alpha ratio, beta ratio, absolute returns and comparative returns with index; web scraping to find the best forex providers on a given day. database implementation of instrument tracking and reporting.

This fascination for programming also partly has roots in my admiration and respect for the vibrant open source community. Some areas where I have been curious is with Linux operating system variants, scripting, regular expressions , Emacs and org mode. I believe these augment my other skills to provide a well structured outcome to a given project.

My professional career has been shaped with the following milestones.
A successfully completed masters degree providing a sound technical foundation and a structured approach to solving even complex tasks.
Followed by 9 years of professional experience in leading multinational companies implementing and learning skills.

On the soft skill side. I can offer proficient English knowledge in writing, listening, reading and writing. If required documentation can be provided conform to simplified technical English standards. I have also been certified on level B2 in German. I also have level B1 in Dutch.
