For the past 9 years, I have been working in correctional education (instructional and administrative roles). In this field, I've learned a great deal about creating assignments and scaffolding instruction to meet the needs of marginalized students such as offenders/ex-offenders, single parents, at-risk youth, and adult learners. In addition to my work in correctional education, I also have more than three years of experience teaching college courses (from the Associates level up to the Masters level). I have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and have a passion for helping others.
I am a recent Ph.D. graduate (Post Secondary & Adult Education) and my primary research interests are in teacher preparation for correctional educators. For the past seven years, I have been working in correctional education to include instructional and test administration duties. Additionally, I am an adjunct faculty member in the School of Business & Economics at King Uni
