I have over 40 years experience in the provision of research and library services. For 35 years I worked at the Financial Times in London. My first position at the FT was in the library, which was initially for the exclusive use of journalists, but in the early 1970s the FT's commercial business information department began operation and I moved into a research role. I specialised in a wide range of business research areas, with the main focus on company information, financial and stock markets, industrial sectors and consumer markets. The department's closure in 2008 led to my redundancy, and since then I have continued to provide a business research service while also pursuing other career opportunities. My strengths are in organisation, accuracy and the use and maintenance of published source material.
