Your resume is the first writing sample an employer ever sees. In this instance, you must consider yourself in sales. The marketing brochure you use to sell yourself is your resume. Making it professional, concise, clear and a true picture of yourself is the goal. It should provide an avenue through which your prospective employer can truly evaluate what you’re made of, regardless of whether it’s being read by human eyes or one of those fancy software- driven parsing technologies. I written over 900 resumes in the last 8 years in business.
