As a SAP Project Systems (PS) Consultant is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting SAP PS solutions to manage project-related activities including planning, budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, procurement, and settlement. The role involves working closely with business stakeholders, integration teams, and technical experts to deliver end-to-end project management solutions in SAP.
Key Responsibilities
Requirement Gathering & Analysis
Configuration & Implementation
Configure SAP PS objects (Project Definition, WBS, Networks, Activities, Milestones, Cost Planning, Budgeting, and Settlement).
Set up integration with MM, SD, FI/CO, PP, and HR modules.
Testing & Support
Prepare UT/SIT/UAT scripts and execute testing.
Troubleshoot issues, provide end-user support, and resolve defects.
Project Closure & Reporting
Configure and support status management (REL, TECO, CLSD, DLFL).
Support project reporting (CNS41, S_ALR reports, custom reports).
Ensure proper settlement of projects to assets, cost centers, or COPA.
Documentation & Training
Create functional specifications, configuration documents, and training materials.
Conduct workshops and user training sessions.
Skills & Qualifications
Strong functional knowledge of SAP PS (ECC or S/4HANA).
Hands-on experience in WBS, Network, Activities, Cost Planning, Budgeting, Settlement, Progress Analysis, Milestone Billing.
Good understanding of integration with MM (procurement), SD (billing), FI/CO (cost control), and PM (maintenance projects).
Knowledge of Period-End Activities (settlement, RA, results analysis).
Experience with RICEFW (for custom requirements).
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Add on Skills
Exposure to S/4HANA Migration and Activate Methodology.
Experience with ETO (Engineer-to-Order) or Capital Investment Projects.
SAP PS Certified Associate.
