I possess a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. While there, I double majored in neuroscience and philosophy, giving me a unique skill set, ideal for a career in science writing. I've worked in numerous labs and I have experience researching and caring for a variety of animals such as rats, gerbils, and multiple nonhuman primates (including the Western lowland gorilla and the Bornean orangutan). I am very passionate about the world we live in and I believe my writing can leave this world a better place. In my spare time I enjoy playing guitar, painting, riding my bicycle, reading, and enjoying time with my family.
