I am a research scientist with a BSc in Nursing, an MSc in Immunology and Clinical Microbiology from Makerere University, and a PhD from Case Western Reserve University. Over the past eight years, I have focused on infectious diseases like tuberculosis and HIV, developing TB diagnostic biomarkers, studying HLA and susceptibility to Burkitt lymphoma, and investigating the immunomodulatory effects of M. tuberculosis glycolipids. I have co-authored five peer-reviewed research articles, including one as first author and two as second author. My current interests include immuno-proteomics in host-pathogen interactions and high-throughput T cell receptor sequencing for identifying immunodominant epitopes during active infections. Additionally, I write newspaper articles and Op-eds, engage in scientific discourse on TV shows, participate in public health disease surveillance, One Health, and research laboratory auditing, and train masters and undergraduate students in Clinical Immunology.
