In no particular order, these are abilities I can bring to our partnership:

Technical understanding. I've worked on medical advertising, engineering products and other complicated subjects. I enjoy using both spheres of my brain, quickly learning the technicalities of your product or service so I can communicate those better.

Psychological insights. What does the consumer want? How do they search for you? What questions are fighting in their brains? What are the thoughts you're having right now? Good copy is a dialogue with an unseen audience.

Entrepreneurship. Running a company ain't easy. I've done it myself, several times in different industries. Distribution, sales, R&D, accounting - oddly enough, these all impact on your marketing and brand perception. Knowing how companies run helps in knowing how to sell them.  

Organisation. It's been said that creativity is about bringing previously unrelated thoughts together. Part of that is having a tabulated memory. It means an old joke can turn into a new meme, or an historic rebellion into a "change the world" YouTube campaign. Or it can simply mean decent internal link-building on a blog or site.

Accuracy. Some believe that proofreading is about spelling and grammar. Certainly. But it's also about facts, references, cross-references (memory again!) and deep interrogation of sources. 

Interpersonal skills. Oh, I'm definitely not perfect here, but I've learned to curb most of my difficult behaviour. It's just easier to work together if everyone remains positive, looks for the good rather than the bad, and offers encouragement and enthusiasm.
