STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Here’s a look at the most significant headlines in criminal justice from the last seven days:

PROSECUTION RESTS IN CAR-CRASH MURDER TRIAL

Prosecutors rested on Thursday in Tashawn Beckford’s murder trial after showing jurors a 15-minute compilation video which, they contend, depicts the sequence of events leading to the fatal wreck in Annadale two years ago that claimed a young mother’s life.

The defense began presenting its case on Friday in state Supreme Court, St. George.

The grandson of a former borough president and a second man were arrested on drug charges following a shooting where a 22-year-old woman was injured at a home in Fort Wadsworth.

The young woman suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and was rushed to Staten Island University Hospital in Ocean Breeze following the gun incident around noon on Wednesday on Lyman Avenue.

Steven Molinaro, 33, who lives at the home where the shooting occurred, and Almir Ramic, 34, of the 700 block of Nugent Avenue in Midland Beach, both have been charged with felony criminal possession of marijuana, according to a spokesman for the NYPD.

5 WEEKS AFTER S.I. SHOOTING, COPS ARREST MAN, 23

Police have arrested a 23-year-old man in a shooting on a commercial block of Broad Street in Stapleton in March.

Elyjia Travis of Gordon Street in the Stapleton Houses was arrested on April 22, about five weeks after the assault, and he faces attempted murder and other charges in the incident on March 13 at 2:19 p.m., according to the criminal complaint and police.

Travis, “with [the] intent to cause the death of another,” discharged a firearm at the 24-year-old male victim on the 200 block of Broad Street, according to the complaint.

ANNADALE MAN, 28, ADMITS TO CHILD PORN CHARGE

A 28-year-old Annadale man has admitted to possessing child pornography.

Stephen Pandolf was busted last June 22 based on a probe by the NYPD Special Investigations Computer Crimes Division.

A criminal complaint alleged the defendant distributed at least two digital images depicting the sexual abuse of children over the BitTorrent peer-to-peer network from his home on Detroit Avenue on May 20 at 9:10 a.m.

SEXUAL CONTENT SKYPE-BOMBED DURING SCHOOL WORKSHOP

The Department of Education (DOE) and police are investigating an alleged incident of inappropriate sexual content being Skype-bombed during a remote workshop for a school on Staten Island, the Advance/SILive.com has learned.

The incident allegedly occurred during a virtual workshop designed for adults, parents, coaches and teachers of the Michael J. Petrides School, 715 Ocean Terrace in Sunnyside, according to a source with knowledge of the investigation.

Police were told that someone played an inappropriate video during a meeting on Skype, the source said.
